Advantage Futures Announces Approval of CFE Clearing Membership
Chicago, IL., April 13, 2009 – Advantage Futures today announced that it has been approved for clearing membership by the CBOE Futures Exchange (CFE). This membership allows Advantage Futures to deliver its premier level of technology and client service to CFE traders. Advantage Futures now offers traders the ability to trade futures on the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX), the world’s barometer for equity market volatility. Joseph Guinan, Founder, Chairman and CEO, Advantage Futures, made the announcement.
CFE is owned by CBOE and its trades are cleared by the triple-A rated Options Clearing Corporation (OCC). CFE is an all-electronic, open access market model with dedicated market makers and market participants providing liquidity.
“CFE membership broadens our direct access offerings for our clients and strengthens our relationship with the CBOE and CFE trading communities,” said Guinan. “In addition, we anticipate that our clearing member status with the CFE will help continue our rapid growth with increased volume of CFE futures products.” Advantage Futures clients will be able to trade VIX futures contracts through their front-end software platforms or by calling the Advantage Futures Global Execution Desk.
Advantage Futures is also a clearing member of CME Group, LIFFE, London Clearing House, ICE Clear U.S., ICE Clear Europe, a technical clearing member of Eurex, and a foreign approved participant of Montreal Exchange.
