CBOE membership provides members preferential Exchange fees and rates on its trading of CBOE products.

Process for CBOE Membership:
To become a CBOE member, all membership application items must be submitted to the CBOE Membership Department. The following items are needed at the time of submission:

1. • Membership Application and fee
   

2. •Financial Statement
   

3. •Form U-4
   

4. •Nominee Registered for Authorization, Guarantee and Certification (Nominees & RF’s)
   

5. •Fingerprints
   

6. •New Member Orientation Fee
   

7. •SEC Broker/Dealer Application - Form BD (Owner or Lessee Applications)
   

8. •Documentation evidencing authorization to work in the U.S. (ex: U.S. passport OR U.S. Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, U.S. Citizen ID Card AND Driver’s License, State ID Card, Voter Registration Card)
   

Other items may be necessary upon certain conditions before file review. SEC Broker/Dealer approval must occur before membership approval. CBOE membership can be applied for through an online application. You can check the status of your submitted online application by clicking here.
