FIA Clearing 2010 - A Derivatives Forum
April 12-13, 2010
New York Marriott Downtown
New York, NY
Clearing, the cornerstone of the listed derivatives industry, moves center stage as regulators look to the listed derivatives central counterparty model to bring more transparency to the over-the-counterparty products and to reduce the risk of another financial meltdown. Clearing over-the-counter products, however, has been underway for some time in the listed derivatives markets, driven by commercial interest in counterparty risk reduction, rather than regulatory pressure. This program is designed to provide basic information on how clearing works and give an overview of the benefits and challenges of clearing OTC products. Leading clearing organizations will present their models and answer questions about their offerings. Sessions on position limits, reporting requirements, cross-border clearing, and collateral management will update clearing professionals on the latest developments in the clearing space.
Clearing 2010 - A Derivatives Forum is for operations and information technology professionals from FCMs, brokerage firms, banks, exchanges and money management firms.
