CME Colocation Facility

The CME’s data center in Aurora, IL, opened for client use on January 29, 2012.  This facility provides the lowest latency connection for all products traded on the CME Globex platform, bringing speed from client to matching engine down to microseconds from milliseconds.

CME Group’s Data Center Features:

  • Two 138,000 volt transmission quality utility services from two separate plants
  • Environmentally green, cutting edge HVAC and electrical distribution equipment

The Facilty is Under the Management and Control of CME Group, and Will Provide:

CME Server Colocation Hosting Services – Power and Space

  • 12.5 MW of usable power to colocation customers in initial phase
  • Tier three design with additional security, fire protection and infrastructure enhancements
  • Two tiers of power capacity per licensed cabinet, including licensed space, power and data center environmentals

CME Server Colocation Connectivity Services – Lowest Latency and Equidistant

  • CME GLink – Equidistant Cross Connect to ensure location neutrality for all clients
  • Multiple diverse entrances, redundant carrier rooms
  • Carrier-neutral, open access telecommunications policy provides for flexibility, including CME GLink, Cross Connects, Bulk Transport and Utility Networks

CME Server Colocation Support Services – Convenience and Responsiveness

  • Flexibility in maintaining and servicing equipment
  • On-site technicians for routine maintenance, as well as emergency assistance
  • 24/7 Client Support Team, including remote hands, shipping and receiving, client support portal and customer amenities
